TIDELANDS NATURE CENTER: A private non-profit environmental education center operated by the University of Georgia 4-H program, located next to Summer Waves on Jekyll Island. Visit critters in the touch tank and aquariums. Monday-Saturday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM March-November. Winter hours Monday-Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Stop by and visit a young sea turtle, corn snake, fish, alligators and other species native to Georgia's coast! Canoe rentals and kayak tours available (seasonal). WATER TAXI: Water Taxi service is available between Jekyll Island and St. Simons Island.
