With the December groundbreaking for Great Dunes
Park, the Jekyll Island Authority has begun a
multi-year revitalization of island facilities.
The Jekyll Island revitalization plan also calls for
a new 120,000 square-foot convention center,
entry corridor improvements, new Beach Village
shops and hotels, and more.
Great Dunes Park comprises 20 acres of beachfront
space and will include picnic pavilions, play area,
public beach access and a deck for beach events.
