TAXI SERVICE:

Licensed service is available and zone charges for the mainland range from $2 to $10. Charges from Brunswick to St. Simons Island average $8 to $15 and from Brunswick to Jekyll island $10 to $20. Limousine service is also available.

RENTAL CARS:

Automobiles can be hired by the day, week or longer. National care rental companies with outlets in the area include Alamo, Avis, Dollar, Enterprise and Hertz. Local companies include Auto Rentals of Brunswick and Barber's X-Press Rent A Car.

WATER TAXI:

Water Taxi service is available between Jekyll Island and St. Simons Island. Historical tours and lunch packages, sunset cruises, dolphin watch tours and waterfront dining tours are available for groups and individuals. The Water Taxi can accommodate up to 40 passengers per taxi. For more information contact Cap Fendig with St. Simons Transit Company, 912/638-5678 or 912/635-3152. RESTAURANT AND BAR SHUTTLE:

A public shuttle operates on Friday and Saturday nights June through August. Providing shuttle service to St. Simons Island restaurants and bars. The fare is $12 nightly. The service is available from 6:00 PM to midnight. Groups can reserve private service. Call St. Simons Transit, Cap Fendig, 912/638-5678. www.saintsimonstransit.com.
