HOTELS, MOTELS AND RESORTS -
Tourism is the number one industry in Brunswick and the Golden Isles and there are nearly 60 hotel/motel/resort properties on the mainland and the four islands - St. Simons Island, Sea Island, Little St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island. These offer over 5,700 rooms ranging from budget to luxury accommodations. Mainland motels are clustered at the I-95/US 341 interchange area, approximately 10-12 miles from the islands and beaches, and along US 17, 7-11 miles from the island and beaches.
Camping facilities are located in Brunswick and on Jekyll Island.
Rental cottages are available on St. Simons Island, Sea Island and Jekyll Island.

CONVENTION FACILITIES
Individual hotels and motels located on the mainland and on the four islands have convention facilities to accommodate groups ranging in size from 25 to 2,000.
St. Simons Island properties offer unique meeting options from a seaside resort to a modern Methodist Retreat Center. Several properties have meeting rooms that will accommodate up to 100 persons.
Sea Island has a large conference center, which can accommodate up to 500 persons. Cabin Bluff in Camden County is owned and managed by the Sea Island Company and is available for private retreats.
Little St. Simons Island is a great location for small group retreats.
Jekyll Island has become one of the most important convention locations in the State of Georgia. The Jekyll Island Convention Center - the Deep South's only oceanfront convention center - features the Hartley Auditorium (seating for up to 2,000), an exhibit hall and other meeting facilities, including an oceanfront entertainment deck. Other significant venues (e.g., Summer Waves Waterpark and Historic District cottages) are available on Jekyll Island as well.

DINING
As one might expect from a seaport city and coastal islands, the catch-of-the-day is a standard item on most restaurant menus. Shrimp, crab, and oysters abound in recipes too numerous to catalogue. From "down-home cooking" to "haute cuisine," the visitor to the Golden Isles can satisfy his palate and his pocketbook in more than 120 local restaurants.
